Marshall Brown

Marshall Brown is Director of the Princeton Urban Imagination Center and Associate Professor of Architecture at Princeton University. The urbanist, architect and artist has exhibited at the Venice Architecture Biennale and his work is in the collections of the Art Institute Chicago and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Brown has published essays and articles in various prestigious publications such as The Architect's Newspaper and the Journal of Architectural Education. In his projects, Brown examines the interconnections of architecture, power, and acts of world-making, using various media and techniques such as collage, sketches, video, models, and built projects. During his residency at Cinepoetics, he will pursue the project "Scenariograms", which deals with constructing histories of the future by combining drawings, documentary material, archival images, and animations into brief cinematic devices.
