Cinepoetics Colloquium

The core format of the Center ist the Cinepoetics Colloquium. Here, we strive for a continuous discussion concerning questions linked to our respective research foci. With each session comprising three hours, there is enough space for discussion, as the colloquium revolves around a shared reading of key texts. Additionally, there might be short presentations by our fellows or guests.

Film-analytical Colloquium

The Film-analytical Colloquium is a four-hour-event that includes a film screening and a comprehensive discussion afterwards. What is screened and analyzed is either tied to individual research projects of Cinepoetics members and fellows or to questions of the respective research foci. Most importantly, the discussion is held in a manner that is open and does not follow a recurrent structure. It establishes its own priorities and thus makes graspable what thinking with films means as and in practice.
